Drakes (NSFW)
General description
Drakes stand between 5 and 6 and a half feet tall to the top of the head. They are a mammalian species but the body is covered in a thick scaly hide. They are warm blooded and females have breasts on their chest. They have a short pair of horns protruding straight back from the back of the head, unlike Dragons’ horns that raise up slightly and spread as they extend. They have a “mane” of fur that starts at the top of the head, like a mow hawk, and extends down the back and tail ending at approximately the last 3rd of the tail. They stand on digigrade legs.
Gender and related anatomy.
Male and Females are shaped different, very similar to how humans present gender differences. Males typically have a square masculine build while females have a narrower waist and wider hips, and usually have slightly smaller horns. Males and females have typical genders roles associated in society similar to how humans do.
Female anatomy is extremely similar to a human, but the males different greatly. Males have an internal penis hidden within a forward facing sheath, a scrotum containing testicles slightly larger than a typical male human hanging beneath. The penis when erect is much more pointed and a row of soft ridges runs along the bottom side. Males have a knot that inflate JUST BEFORE climax and stays inflated until the erection goes down. (a male having sex again without the erection going down will have his knot remain inflated.)
Coloration of scales
Scale colors and patterns are hereditary, often a combined color of the mother and father. The area of lighter scale also varies from family to family. Fur color is also inherited in the same way, but typically the fur is a shade of brown (brunettes and blonds, ect). The belly, chest, underside of the jaw and tail are lighter in color with finer scales, and the border of this color change varies among individuals, sometimes extending onto the inner thighs and inner arms. They have plated scales on the thigh, forearms, back of the hands, and tops of the feet, very similar to a dragon’s plated scales on their own extremities.
Common colors include varying shades of; blue, red, yellow, grey, or green. But are not limited to that color.
Growth and development
Drakes are mammalian and therefore give live birth, and typically breast feed for the first year of life, just like humans. They grow at nearly the same rate, reaching full height at 18 years of age. They live slightly longer than humans, 80-120 years.
Society
Drakes live in an advanced technological state, appearing like a dystopia, however social programs exist greatly reducing homelessness and starvation. Overall it is yet another capitalist society but not extreme in nature like dragons are humans. They are a space capable race with some colonies outside of their home world, but very few and very close by. They do participate in trade with other willing races. They are peaceful and other then scientific exploration and trade, keep mostly to themselves.
Clothing
Matching their society theme, techwear and other cyberpunk style outfits are the most common. Simple clothing like t shirts, hoodies, and jeans or shorts are also choices. (fun fact, Drake pants will also fit dragons!) as well as formal business wear.
Cross breeding
Drakes and Dragons are capable of cross breeding. The resulting hybrid is more mammalian than reptile, females often have breast and males have the same semi-external genitals as Drakes, but the penis is more shaped like a dragon’s and lacks the knot. The tail spade is not present. The wings are usually, but not always, much smaller, and in such cases the hybrid is not capable of flight in most places, but can use their wings to move around in zero or low gravity if the atmosphere is dense enough. The hybrid will have the Drake’s furry mane in place of the Dragon’s spikes. Hybrids have a chromosome mismatch, somewhat similar to how mules work on Earth, and are not able to reproduce any further with either a Dragon nor a Dragon, but are able to reproduce further with another Hybrid. The lifespan of a hybrid is not currently known, as non have been around long enough yet to die of old age, so it is not know if they have the lifespan of a Drake, a technically unlimited lifespan of a dragon, or fall somewhere in between.
