Sandpit
The first world we see of the wastelands in the story is Sandpit. It is relatively heavily populated, but the population sticks to cities, where the buildings hold heat at night. The climate is extremely hot planet wide during the day, and below freezing at night. There is water on the world but rain is rare. The deserts range from dry savannas to larges oceans of dunes. Wild animals and native plants exist but are sparse. Several gangs and warlords are constantly fighting for control. Sometimes outbreaks of violence break out in the streets but almost as if an unspoken rule, citizens are left out of the crossfire. Petty crime is quite common. There is a natural economy to participate in, as dragons find jobs from anything from manual labor, pilots, equipment operator, many normal jobs. It’s tough to live there, but better off than in Titan’s domain. There is no police or laws, but rather social morality as dragons life uneasily among each other. Market streets are lined with open kiosks, similar to wet markets of Earth.
